This beautiful lithograph by Marino Marini has just arrived at Olla Art. It’s not framed yet. We can take care of that for you, if you wish.
Rider
The lithograph is originally from 1968 and is entitled ‘L’Idea del Cavaliere’ (perhaps best translated as the representation of the rider). In the Guastalla brothers’ working catalogue the lithograph is described as number 201. However, the working catalogue only lists the edition of 35 copies on Japanese paper, not the edition of 65 copies on BFK Rives.
Proof
The piece offered by us, is an artist’s proof (‘E.A.’) from the edition on BFK Rives. The lithograph is part of the portfolio ‘Europäische Graphik VI’ (plate 8), published in 1969 by the Munich Galerie Wolfgang Ketterer (Ketterer Editionsverzeichnis 128), and printed by Erker-Presse in Saint Gallen (Switzerland).
